Prumo is a private brazilian company engaged in infrastructure and logistics. Currently builds and develops the Açu Port, located in São João da Barra, in the north of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
The Industrial Complex Açu Port, under construction since October 2007, has two port terminals (T1 and T2) and the capacity to handle various types of cargo such as petroleum, iron ore, coal, solid and liquid bulk and general cargo.
The Açu Port is strategically located in the Southeast of the country, accounting for approximately 75% of Brazilian GDP. Lies in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro, about 150 km from the Campos Basin, where 85% of Brazil's oil is produced.
